Sheronica Braswell Sharp
Greetings! I wanted to share a little about myself with you. I graduated from North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Middle Grades Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology.
I have been an Educator for nineteen years. I spent five years as a Media Assistant at Parker Middle School. I then served as a substitute teacher for four years, also at Parker Middle School. I went on to teach middle school math, social studies, and science for nine years. This year will be my second year as a Digital Literacy Coach in Edgecombe County.
This year I was chosen to be a member of the Kenan Fellows Program for Teacher Leadership. The Kenan Fellows Program gives me, and twenty-six other educators across North Carolina, an opportunity to become a better leader in STEM education by creating a community partnership with innovative industry leaders. I was partnered with Keihin of Tarboro for three weeks and it was an amazing experience! I was also honored to have been awarded the ECPS EDGE Cutting Edge Award.
I am married with four children. One girl and three boys. Two of them have graduated high school and the other two are in elementary school Yes, I am always busy! I pride myself on being a life-ling learner. I love to learn about many things, but STEM is my favorite.
I am looking forward to a great year!
