As we approach the final stretch of the school year, we are preparing for End-of-Grade (EOG) testing for grades 3–5, which will take place this week: Wednesday, May 21 Thursday, May 22 Friday, May 23 The Read to Achieve test for 3rd grade will be administered on Tuesday, May 28. Make-up testing will begin on Tuesday, May 27 and continue through the end of the school year. Please remember there will be no school on Monday, May 26 in observance of the holiday. We are also excited to celebrate our scholars' achievements: 🎉 Pre-K Celebration – May 28 at 10:00 AM 🎉 K–4 Awards Ceremony – May 29 at 1:30 PM 🎉 5th Grade Awards Ceremony – May 30 at 1:30 PM Teachers will contact the families of students who will be receiving awards. 📘 EOG Test Prep Tips for Families: To support your student and help them do their best on test days, please consider the following: Ensure your child gets a good night's sleep before testing. Provide a healthy breakfast at home or take advantage of school breakfast. Arrive to school on time—testing begins promptly each morning. Leave technology (phones, smartwatches, etc.) at home on test days. Encourage your child to take their time and read each question and answer choice carefully. Use strategies learned throughout the school year—such as eliminating clearly incorrect answers, underlining key words, and checking their work. Use provided blank or graph paper to solve math problems and organize thinking. Stay positive and send encouraging words—a calm and confident mindset makes a big difference! Attendance is especially important. Please ensure your student is present every day, on time, with no early checkouts or tardies during testing. Every minute counts! Thank you for your continued partnership. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday, and let’s have another great week at the home of the Dolphins!
